Topic 3: Multifunctional Polymers and Regenerative Medicine

Active biomaterials, such as biofunctionalized and stimuli-sensitive polymers, have on the one hand attracted Leukozytincreasing scientific attention, especially in technology and medicine. On the other hand, new research materials often do not match e.g. regulatory preconditions that are essentially needed for a clinical evaluation. Furthermore, many materials presently used in clinical applications do not fulfill the complex demands set by modern medical concepts. Therefore, it is the aim of Topic 3 "Multifunctional Polymeric Biomaterials in Technology and Medicine", to bridge this gap by the creation and translation of new active materials into applications in (bio)technology and medicine, particularly in Regenerative Medicine.
